ABOUT US
Sam and Lorna Boydston live in Eastern Washington and have been raising and showing beagles since 1994.  Nicknamed as the merry little hound, the Beagle is a great family dog that never grows up. Easy to care for,  always playful, loving and a loyal companion. They are great pets for kids and adults alike, versatile as a sporting dog in agility, obedience, in the show ring, and the field. This medium sized  bundle of joy will melt your heart.
Sam works in his own business as a structural engineer. Lorna is a certified veterinary technician, small animal massage practioner, and an artist. Recently Lorna in early 2008, Lorna has been studying canine massage, aromatherapy, animal reiki at the Northwest School of Animal Massage. Lorna is planning on opening her own private practice in late 2008. She has shown and raised dogs since she was 16 in 4-H. Lorna raised Great Danes for 26 years before downsizing to the Beagle. We  bought over 5 acres in Deer Park. We will be building our new kennel and shop for our business's soon.  Soon we will be start building our dream home.  We are very excited about our new adventure.  We will post pictures of the building process as soon as they become available.

The beginning of Roylcrest Farm. We will be building our kennel, shop and office building soon. The building will consist of 4, state of the art kennels with whelping and puppy rooms along with, massage therapy, grooming and play areas.
Somewhere down the road we hope to add a canine spa with a pool for water therapy.  Sam and Lorna will each have and office for their business and we will also have an up to date shop for all those many building projects. There is lots to do and more pictures to follow. You can see we will be building from scratch.  Sam and his son Eric just recently completed the building that is currently housing the beagles. That building will be turned into the tractor garden and garden shed once the shop, kennel office building is complete.  Sam has already completed the plans for the house and the shop building. We sure are enjoying the beautiful sunsets and peaceful tranquility.
A slight setback,  seems we need to build a horse barn as well for our other two addictions,  Allegra and Maestro.  Two yealings that melted our hearts.  They act like dogs, and love to be around the dogs.  The dogs, surprising seem amused by their presence!

A little supervision from our son Eric.
Lorna digging the first hole. This sure beats a post hole digger!
Everyone is getting in the act. The horses are giving Sam a thumbs up!

Update on the barn.  Well we got the barn framed and the siding up. Still have to finish the interior and add more doors. Hay is in the barn. We finished this part just as the first flake of snow came down. And we received over 4 feet  of snow. Talk about getting it to the last second. Will finish the interior and barn doors  in the spring and then start on the shop, kennel and two offices.
Five and 1/2 months of winter. Snow, Snow, Snow.  Getting ready to finish the inside and add the trim of the horse barn.  The horses made good use their barn this past winter. Engineering plans are already completed on the next building phase.  We will be building a big "shop, indoor-outdoor kennel and two offices" next. The building will be 40' X 70', two stories. Hoping to get going on that the summer of 2008. The kennel will have a grooming area, whelping and puppy room, small kitchen, indoor - outdoor kennels,  as well as an excercise area and room for canine massage therapy for Lorna's practice. There are plans underway to include water therapy and a pool area for dogs in 2010. The shop will be in the middle area for all those projects coming up and for Lorna's artwork. The other third will be office space for Sam's engineering, and office space for Lorna. Upstairs will be storage and anything else we happen to dream up.  And with any luck at all, we can also start landscaping, including front and back decks on the house. Should be another busy year !!!
